Building trust requires a pattern of behavior that indicates trust. You must evaluate your behavior and others’ reactions to that behavior to determine if you are taking the right steps to build trust. Take this self-assessment to find out if you are taking steps to build trust.

The more “usually” answers you provided, the more likely it is that you’ve established a pattern of behavior that builds trust with your peers, subordinates, and senior leaders. The more “rarely” and “sometimes” answers you provided, the more likely it is that you’re not taking steps to build trust with those around you. You may be taking some steps to build trust, and your subordinates, peers, and leaders may trust you to some degree already. However, there are still actions and steps you can take to further develop trust with these individuals.
