Purpose/ Scope |
This is a two-phased course. Phase 1 is a nonresident (correspondence study of approximately 60 hours); phase 2 is resident training. The purpose of the course is to provide a working knowledge of automated/manual supply systems to facilitate requisitioning, receipts, inventory management, packing/shipping, and safety of medical supplies and equipment The course provides training in medical materiel procedures in TOE/TDA AMEDD units. Major areas of study are: DOD Federal Supply Catalog (CD ROM), Property Control in TDA/TOE Medical Activities,Theater Army Medical Management Information System (TAMMIS), and Standard Property Book System-Redesigned (SPBS-R). Methods of instruction include lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises. |
