Overview

This US Army Correspondence Course Program (ACCP) Course consists of twenty fouteen (14) subcourses: IT0458, IT0649, IT0660, IT0644, IT0654, IT0646, IT0643, IT0662, IT0671, IT0665, IT0687, IT0667, IT0648, and IT0696.

It reflects the doctrine current at the time its subcourses were prepared.

Unless otherwise stated, the masculine gender of singular pronouns is used to refer to both men and women.

Purpose

To provide a course of study for those newly commissioned military intelligence officers for their first imagery exploitation duty assignment. To refresh the Imagery Exploitation Officer, the Imagery Intelligence Technician, and the Imagery Analyst.

 
Target
Audience
Officers with a specialty code of 35C, warrant officers with MOS 350D, and enlisted personnel with MOS 96D. Special equipment and supervisor action is required for some of these subcourses.
 
Requirements

There are no prerequisites for this course. There are no special requirements for those taking the course for general knowledge; however, the subcourses should be completed in the order shown below.

IT0660, Analyze Military Activities and Installations on Aerial Imagery

IT0644, Vertical Photogrammetry and Imagery Coverage of an Area.

IT0654, Infrared Imagery

IT0646, Plot Vertical Aerial Photos and Master Cover Trace

IT0643, Imagery Interpretation Keys

IT0662, Convert UTM/GEO Coordinates

IT0671, Route, Area, and Point Overlays

IT0665, Brief/Debrief Aircrews

IT0687, Imagery Analysis Reports in STANAG Format

IT0667, Imagery Analysis Reports/Requests Preparation in USMTF Format

IT0648, Extracting Order of Battle Information from Intelligence Reference Material

IT0696, Introduction to the Limited Procurement Urgent (LPU) System

Special equipment is not required for the following: IT0665, IT0667, IT0648, IT0671, IT0687, IT0662.
A stereoscope, tube magnifier, or magnifying glass is required for the following: IT0458, IT0646, IT0649, IT0643, IT0644, IT0654, IT0660.
IT0643 also requires rubber cement or paper glue, masking tape, cardboard for mounting, and a piece of 1/8–inch black tape. Subcourse requires supervisor approval.
IT0644 also requires a photo interpretation (PI) scale and a PI slide rule or calculator.
IT0646 also requires a PI scale, a PI slide rule or calculator, and a plotting template.
NOTE: IT0637 also requires a PI scale or inch ruler/centimeter scale.

Eligibility

The Army Correspondence Course Program courses/subcourses are available to U.S. Active and Reserve military officers, warrant officers, and enlisted personnel; Reserve Officers' Training Corps, National Guard Officer Candidate School, West Point cadets, and authorized federal civilian employees.

Military personnel must have enough time remaining in service to complete the course/subcourse in which they request enrollment.

Notes

Enrollment is electronic. To enroll in this course, go to the My Courses Home tab on this site, find the course/module of interest, activate the enroll button (ENROLL) and complete on-screen enrollment requirements.

IMPORTANT: After enrolling for the course, you do not need to enroll for component subcourses individually.

 

Taking the Course/Subcourses On-Line

 
Taking the
subcourses

Once you have been notified of your enrollment via e-mail, the course will appear on your personalized My Active Enrollents tab when you log in. Access the training materials and or the examination(s) there or from the RDL Services tab Army Correspondence Course listing.

You do not have to wait for enrollment verification before beginning. You can start immediately. Everything you need to complete the course's component subcourses is provided on-line. You will need no additional materials, nor will any be sent to you. View and study all materials (including practical exercises), and take the subcourse final examinations.

 
Taking
the exams

REMINDER: To receive credit for the subcourses toward course completion, you must have received course enrollment verification by e-mail before taking any subcourse examination.

Once you complete an individual examination and "submit" your responses, you will be notified immediately if you have, or have not, earned a passing grade. You will receive your final grade (Completion Notice) by mail.
