5-2 Reassure the Casualty


The fourth step is to
reassure the casualty.

  • Try to calm the casualty.
  • Take charge and show self-confidence.
  • Assure the casualty that he or she is being taken care of.

If you must leave the casualty, turn his or her head to the side to prevent choking if vomiting occurs.
